Working with Us
Our appointment of Subject Matter Expert Trustees and Committee members will play a critical supporting role as we pursue stronger governance and far-reaching business change to maximise our relevance and value to current and future members globally.
Subject Matter Expert Trustee appointments
We have an opportunity to become a data-driven professional membership body, and the continued digitalisation of both the organisation and the profession we serve will enable and open up global opportunities, resulting in a more diverse and inclusive profession. We also play an important advocacy role; lobbying governments and other key stakeholders to champion positive change.
As a Trustee with subject matter expertise in either Communications/Public Relations or Digital, Data and Technology, you will consequently have an opportunity to make an important contribution, helping us to accelerate progress and make good decisions in these disciplines, whilst providing strategic challenge and support as we pursue new organisational capability and standards of professionalism. We are looking for candidates with experience (or a clear understanding of the requirements) of a non-executive role. Neither RIBA membership nor prior experience of working in the built environment is pre-requisite. What you must bring is a genuine interest in our profession, current senior level subject matter expertise in either of the required disciplines, experience of influencing high-profile stakeholders and decision-makers, and a demonstrable commitment to diversity and inclusion.
